The Fred & Winifred Wright House and Garage, built in 1913, are eligible for listing on the Spokane Register of Historic Places due to their architectural significance. The property is a notable example of Craftsman bungalow style, featuring a low-pitched hip roof, overhanging unenclosed eaves, exposed rafters, a front-facing cross-gable with decorative braces, and original wood-shingle cladding. The interior retains its 1913 design with a spacious living/dining area, four bedrooms, oak hardwood floors, and honey-colored gumwood woodwork.A single-car garage, added in 1915, complements the house with matching Craftsman features.The Wright House and Garage are situated in a historic residential neighborhood with a variety of architectural styles, including Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, and Craftsman. This area lies between two early-1900s parks, Cannon Hill Park and Manito Park, adding to its historic charm.

A registered Spokane patent attorney, Fred and Winifred Wright purchased residential Lot at 507 West 14th Avenue in 1909. He then hired Spokane home builder, F. E. Martin, to construct a single-family home for a cost of $3000. The Wrights remained at the house for 7 years and welcomed two children during their time there.

The house underwent alterations in 1948, including a significant reduction of the front porch and changes to the roof and cladding. Recent restoration efforts have reinstated the original Craftsman roof design and details.
