Historic Properties of Spokane
Weaver House
Built in 1910, the Lawrence Weaver House at 520 W 16th Avenue is one of the finest examples of the Craftsman-style bungalow in Spokane and remains one of the city’s most intact historic homes. Designed by prominent Spokane architect Alfred Jones, the house was built for Lawrence Weaver and his wife Lydia. A successful rancher, stockman, orchardist, and financial investor, Lawrence Weaver raised cattle and sheep and owned extensive fruit orchards in the Wenatchee valley. The Weavers raised a family of six children and lived in the home for more than 60 years.
The Weaver House, located in the historic Cliff/Cannon neighborhood, was listed on the Spokane Register of Historic Places in 2001, and on the National Register in 2002.
