Erected in 1910, the Rose-Kly-Cecil Apartments is a good example of the Colonial Revival style with Italianate influence. Located in the Union Park Addition in the East Central neighborhood of Spokane, WA, and surrounded by late nineteenth and early twentieth-century single-family homes, the Rose-Kly-Cecil Apartments is one of the community’s only historic multi-family apartment buildings. The architect of the building was Charles Wood, not only a prolific architect of the early 1900s, but he was also a resident of the neighborhood for nearly 50 years, residing at 2313 E 5th. The Rose-Kly-Cecil Apartment building retains good exterior architectural integrity in design, materials, workmanship, and association as a multi-family residential apartment. The Rose-Kly-Cecil was moved from 3rd Avenue to 1813 E 4th Avenue in 2020 to make way for I-90 freeway expansion.
